Description

The primary purpose of a Desktop Support Technician is to provide hands-on technical support to end users, ensuring that their computers and related technologies function smoothly. They address hardware and software issues, provide user training, maintain security measures, collaborate with other IT teams, and contribute to a positive overall user experience

Responsibilities

• Monitor security dashboards, alerts and logs using SIEM and EDR tools
• Triage and analyse security events to identify potential threats and anomalies
• Escalate verified incidents to senior analysts or the Security Operations Manager
• Track security trends and recurring issues across systems and applications
• Assist in running scheduled vulnerability scans using approved tools

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of IT experience (networking, systems administration, or related areas)
• CompTIA Security+
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• Any relevant vendor-specific security certifications
